God had a unique plan for Solomon's life. David offered him these words of encouragement...
"And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and
serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth
all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if
thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will
cast thee off forever. Take heed now; for the Lord hath chosen thee to
build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it."
(I Chron 28:9-10)
We believe God has a unique plan and purpose for each student at NTBC. For this reason, the mission of our youth ministry is to develop students into life-long, committed followers of Jesus Christ so that they can fulfill their unique purpose as it pertains to the Kingdom of God.
We also seek to develop unity and community within the context of our youth ministry. We offer monthly activities, afterglows one Sunday a month, Retreats, Conferences, Camps, Mission trips, Wednesday night teen services, MS & HS Bible classes, Bible studies, and many service opportunities.
2011 Winter Retreat Information
This year we will be going to a place where we can reflect on the majesty of God's creation. At the same time learn about God and His plan for us. We will be at a camp called Whitewater Express which is located in Copperhill Tennessee.
We will be doing lots of great activities like:
Ropes Course: The ropes course is one of the most effective ways to build teamwork, trust, communication, and co-operation in between you and your team meats (waivers must be signed by parents).
Climbing/Repelling: With help from professional in structures you will be climbing to new heights (waivers must be signed by parents).
Horseback Riding: Your trip begins at our stable where you will be assigned the "right mount" from a selection of horses. All rides are guided by experienced trail guides (waivers must be signed by parents).
OR
Paintball: Add some real excitement to your time at whitewaters with team competition paintball (waivers must be signed by parents).
We will be departing the church December 28 at 9:00 am we will be back December 31 at about 4:00 pm.
The cost for this trip will be $160.00 and that includes all meals except if we stop for breakfast or lunch. All electrical devices are not allowed on the trip that includes cell phones. Teens must abide by the dress code at all times on this trip. The point of this trip is to make a positive impact in your life for God. We will be having services every day, small group time, and devotions. A $50 non-refundable money must be turned in by Nov 16. We will be having fundraisers to help with some of the cost of the trip. If someone decides that they do not want to go on the trip after they have raised money for this trip, money made from their fundraiser will be nonrefundable.
