Once I was blind, now I see-
Once I was deaf, now I hear-
Once I was dead, now I am alive!
Alicia and Matt have been married for seven years and moved to Georgia
in 2003, where the Lord led them to New Testament Baptist Church. They
began working in the children's ministry in the summer of 2005 and Matt
became the Children's Minister in the summer of 2006. Matt and Alicia
are looking forward to many more faithful and fruitful years working in
Christ's ministry.
Currently Alicia and Matt are both in school. Alicia is enrolled at Georgia State University and working towards a Pharmaceutical degree. Matt is currently enrolled at Liberty University working towards a Bachelor of Science in Religion degree with plans to pursue a Masters in Theological Studies.
Without children of their own (unless dogs count), they love each and every child unconditionally, just as Christ loves the children. Super Church (Currently known as Kidz for Christ) is available for each child ages 4 years through 3rd grade every Sunday Morning at 10:30. Their intention is to partner with parents in setting the foundation for the children as they grow up in today's society. Matt and Alicia also want to lay the basic foundation that can be built upon in our Teen ministry. Statistics show that if a child does not accept Christ as Savior before they are 18 then the chances are much greater they will not.
Matt and Alicia want Kidz for Christ to be a place that children want to go week after week and invite their friends and family. Their goal is to reach children with the Gospel and let them know that Christ died for them, rose from the grave, and ascended into heaven to prepare a dwelling place for them. Matt and Alicia pray that the children can have a personal relationship and daily walk with our LORD and Savior.
"Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: For of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:13-14
