What to wear
Quite often we associate attending church with some type of strict uniform; however, at New Testament Baptist Church this is not the case. Many of our church folks dress more traditional ďSundayĒ style but our main goal at NTBC is that you feel welcomed and ready to receive Godís Word. We encourage people to dress ready to worship God.
When you arrive
Driving up to the parking lot of New Testament Church your first encounter will be with one of our friendly greeters. These members are there to welcome you and show you where to go. For those with children our Nursery is staffed with friendly, loving people ready to love on your children and teach them about God. We have classes geared towards every walk of life; we want you to connect with other believers who share common interests. Our Sunday Schools are a great place to build friendships with other believers, grow in Godís Word, and serve.
Am I expected to participate in offering
There is no pressure or requirement for you to give tithes or offerings. You are our guest and we want you to feel welcomed. Tithes and offerings are a form of worshiping God, He wants us to give to Him out our thankfulness for all He has done. We want our service to be a gift to you.
What are the services like
Sunday morning service starts with a time devoted to preparation for worship, this is a time to set aside lifeís cares and get ready to worship God. We have music both choir specials and congregational singing which is a great way to lift our voices and sing praises to God. Every service Preacher has a Bible message that he has studied and prayed over ready to encourage and equip the congregation to live a life devoted to God. Sunday evening services is another opportunity to be challenged from Godís Word; during this time Preacher preaches through a Bible series. Our typical service lasts a little over one hour. The Evening Service starts at 6:00pm and is typically attended by our church family; however, it is open to anyone who desires to strengthen their walk with God and learn more about His Word.
Wednesday Night services are a little different from Sunday services. On Wednesday nights we have our AWANA program for children ages 2 through sixth grade, NTBC Youth Group for grades seventh through twelfth grade, Sisters forever small group and Wednesday night prayer service. Our Wednesday night programs are purposely placed in the middle of the week to provide encouragement and to re-energize you for the rest of the week.
What about our Church
A church is not a building, it is the body of believers that are gathered together to worship God. We are normal everyday people who donít have it all together; we aren't perfect however we serve a perfect God who wants us to thrive in this world. We are not looking to judge people or size them up; our goal is to reflect Jesus to our community. We may fail and fall at times but by Godís grace and with His help we will get up and try again. We welcome you to join us and help us encourage one another to serve God.
